# Track X (Twitter) Mentions Alongside Your Analytics

> TinyTrack Pro surfaces mentions of your site on X (formerly Twitter) so you can see social buzz alongside your real-time traffic spikes.

The X Mentions integration shows you when people talk about your site or product on X (formerly Twitter), right alongside your real-time traffic data. When a post mentioning your domain or keyword goes viral, you'll see the mention spike in the Social panel at the exact same moment the corresponding traffic spike appears on your pageview chart — making it easy to connect the social conversation to its impact on your site. This integration is available on the **Pro plan**.

## Requirements

Before setting up X Mentions, confirm you have the following:

* A TinyTrack **Pro plan** subscription (\$19/mo)
* A keyword, domain name, or hashtag to monitor (your site domain works well as a starting point)
* Mentions are pulled from **public posts** on X — private or protected accounts are not included

## Setting Up X Mentions

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your site Settings">
    Log in to TinyTrack, navigate to the site you want to monitor, and click **Settings** in the left sidebar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Integrations panel">
    In Settings, click **Integrations**, then select **X Mentions** from the list of available integrations.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your keyword or domain">
    Type the term you want to monitor into the keyword field. Enter your domain name (for example, `tinytrack.io`), a product name, or a hashtag — whatever best represents your brand on X.

    ```text theme={null}
    tinytrack.io
    ```

    You can update this keyword at any time from the same settings panel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your configuration">
    Click **Save**. TinyTrack begins monitoring X for public posts matching your keyword. The Social panel appears in your dashboard once the first mentions are detected.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What You'll See

After setup, open the **Social** panel in your TinyTrack dashboard to view:

* **Mentions count** — the total number of public X posts matching your keyword over the selected time range
* **Recent posts list** — a live feed of the latest posts that mention your keyword, including the post text, author handle, and timestamp
* **Spike correlation** — because mention data and pageview data share the same timeline, you can visually correlate a surge in X posts with a corresponding jump in your traffic chart

Use this view to identify which posts drove real traffic, track the reach of a product launch announcement, or spot emerging conversations about your brand before they trend.

## Supported Keywords

You can monitor any of the following keyword types:

| Keyword type          | Example          |
| --------------------- | ---------------- |
| Domain name           | `yoursite.com`   |
| Product or brand name | `TinyTrack`      |
| Hashtag               | `#buildinpublic` |

<Tip>
  Start with your domain name for the most reliable signal. Domain mentions are harder to game and directly correlate with traffic referrals from X.
</Tip>

## Changing or Removing a Keyword

To update your monitored keyword, go to **Settings → Integrations → X Mentions**, edit the keyword field, and click **Save**. TinyTrack starts monitoring the new keyword immediately and stops tracking the old one.

To stop monitoring entirely, clear the keyword field and save. The Social panel is removed from your dashboard and monitoring ceases.
